Cheerleading Stunts At Home

liberty help[cheerleading]?

So this year as a freshman I made varsity cheerleading and I was just wondering if you have any tips on how at home I can practice my balance for a liberty.

My stunt group has a lib, but our consistency is bad. And I know most of it is me. Just last practice I could barly hold a lib but the practice before that I was sticking almost every single one. I feel like If I practice my balance and form more at home I can get better.

So any yoga moves, excersices?
Thanks

Do you have a little sister, brother, friend that would be willing to help you? With a partner stand in a lib for about 5 minutes and toss a ball back and forth, start with a small ball and get bigger and bigger every time!

Also, if you don’t have a partner you can get a chair and put on foot in like your loading for a lib and go ’1,2, down, up’ and load into a lib and hold for as long as possible.

Practise on a wobble board if you have one, they work very well. Also you can try pulling some skills like stretches and scales and scorps while either doing the chair or on a wobble board.

I know exactly what you mean too, I am a top (aka ‘flyer’) and a base because I am on two teams. One high school allstar one that I got asked to be on even though I’m not in high shcool and my elementary school team that I started last year. At my elementary school I am usually a base because everyone is so small, even thoug hwe don’t judge tops on size but on skill. But at my all-star team I am a good top and the same size as everyone else so I was chosen to top. As a base I know what its like when the top can’t stick a lib and how annoying it is especially when its not my fault. But i don’t b*tch at them because I know what its like to be a top and have bases that can’t hold a lib. You always blame the other person, but it’s probably not your fault actually, its usually the bases fault.

Hope I could help!
